The Supermarket
A huge, anonymous American supermarket. Endless aisles. Fluorescent lights. Shopping carts. Customers everywhere.
Our girl moves through her shift, constantly being interrupted. A customer complains. Her manager calls her over. A colleague laughs at her. She says nothing. She keeps working.
Eventually she disappears into the back room. For a moment, everything is silent. She pulls out a pair of old, worn headphones. Presses play.
She walks back into the supermarket. Something has changed.
She grabs whatever is closest and starts destroying the carefully controlled world around her. Her manager rushes toward her — she throws something directly into his face, takes off her uniform, drops it, and walks straight out through the automatic doors.
